FTC SEARCH Program
What is the FTC SEARCH Program?
The FTC SEARCH Program is designed to assist telemarketers in locating telephone numbers on the FTC Registry. The program DOES NOT contain the FTC List therefore you must purchase and download the FTC Registry (either the entire registry or specific area codes) before you can use this program.
How does the FTC SEARCH program work?
Using the program is simple. After you download a file (or multiple files) from the FTC, place it in the appropriate folder on your C:\ drive, rename it FTC1.txt (If multiple files were downloaded, rename them FTC1.txt through FTC9.txt) enter the number of files you are loading and press the LOAD button. Do I require special software to use the FTC SEARCH Program?
No Special Software is required, just Windows 98 or later (the program will not work with Windows 95) and, depending on the size of the FTC DNC file you are downloading, 1G to 4G of free disk space on your C:/ drive.
How do I look up an individual using the FTC SEARCH program?
There are two ways to search for a number:
Enter the telephone number your are looking for into the search screen and press the EXACT MATCH button – If the number is on the database, it will be displayed.
Enter a partial number (e.g., area code, area code and exchange or any partial number) and press the PARTIAL SEARCH button – All of the phone numbers on the database that match the partial number entered are returned. This is a good way to export a subset of the DNC file to your dialer for suppression or to identify all DNC numbers in a geographic area (exchange).
How much does it cost?
The program is available for an initial subscription fee of $465 which includes 1 year of Support.
Is Support Available after the first year?
Annually you will be asked if you wish to subscribe to program updates and on-going support for an additional year at a fraction of the purchase price. If you choose not to, you may still keep the program but not receive program updates.
What is On-going Maintenance about?
We continually update the program with the latest technology, making it more efficient, adding features requested by our customers and incorporating any changes made by the FTC, such as file layout changes, etc.
